Cozy Room Privacy Policy
Last updated: 31 October 2026
Cozy Room is a room-decorating game made by Musidev Games ("we"). This policy explains what happens to your information when you play.
The short version
- You don't need to sign in to play, and everything works offline.
- When you're online, the game keeps a backup of your progress with Unity Gaming Services and records a few gameplay events, so we can make the game better.
- If you play together with friends, they see the name and avatar you chose while you're in the same room. There is no free chat, only ready-made phrases.
- We don't show ads, we don't sell your information, and we never ask for your email, phone number or real name.
- You can delete everything, on your phone and online, from Settings > Delete my data.
What stays on your device
The game saves these on your phone so you can keep playing:
- your profile: the name you choose, your avatar, its colour and your title
- your rooms, story progress, stars, Syiling coins and achievements
- your settings (language, music and sound)
- photos you take, and copies of them in the in-game Memory Album
Photos you take are saved to your phone's gallery (in "Pictures/Cozy Room"). You decide whether to share them. Sharing opens your phone's own share screen. Photos are never uploaded by the game.
What the game sends online
Cozy Room uses Unity Gaming Services, run by Unity Technologies, to provide its online features. When your phone is connected to the internet:
A player ID. The game signs in quietly with a player ID, created for this install or for your Google Play Games account (see below). It is not linked to your email or phone number.
A backup of your save. Your profile (name, avatar, colour, title), rooms, story progress, stars, Syiling coins, achievements, daily gift streak and a few play counts (such as items placed and photos taken) are stored with your player ID, so they are safe if something happens to your phone.
Gameplay events. After you accept the Terms of Use, the game records events such as starting or finishing a level (with its chapter and stars), choosing to play solo or together and a game mode, tutorial steps, which furniture you place, taking a photo, creating your profile, opening a chapter, opening the shop, starting and finishing a purchase (which pack, and whether it went through), connection problems while playing together, and redeeming a code. Unity also collects basic technical details with these events, such as your device model, operating system, app version, country (from your IP address) and session times. We use this only to understand how the game is played and to fix problems.
Daily counts. We count how many new player accounts are made and how many are deleted each day. These counts are just numbers: they don't include your player ID or anything else about you, so they stay after you delete your data.
Redeem codes. When you redeem a code, the code is checked online and the codes you have used are stored with your player ID, so each code works once.
Playing together
"Play together" lets up to 4 people decorate one room. The player who opens the room gets a 6-letter code and shares it with friends themselves; there are no public rooms, and nobody can join without the code.
While you're in a shared room:
- The others see your profile name and avatar, the pieces you move and the ready-made phrases you pick (like "Hi!" or "So pretty!"). There is no free text or voice chat.
- The room and your changes to it are sent between the players' phones through Unity's Lobby and Relay services, which connect the players and pass the game messages along. Unity keeps the room only while it's open; it's gone once everyone has left.
- Only the player who opened the room keeps it in their save. Guests' own rooms are not shared or changed.
The game records when a shared room is opened or joined (without the code or who was in it), to see how often the feature is used.
Google Play Games and Google sign-in
Google Play Games. If your phone is signed in to Google Play Games, the game signs in with it automatically, so your progress can come back on a new phone. We receive your Play Games player ID. Your Play Games profile is managed by Google.
Save progress with Google (optional). If you tap "Save progress with Google" on your profile page, you choose a Google account in Google's own account picker. We receive a Google account ID to link your progress to it. We don't ask for your email address, and we never see your Google password.
Google's handling of your Google account is covered by Google's privacy policy (https://policies.google.com/privacy).
Unity Gaming Services
Unity Technologies processes this information for us, as our service provider (this includes the Lobby and Relay services used for playing together). You can read Unity's privacy policy at https://unity.com/legal/privacy-policy.
How long we keep it
Your online save and redeemed codes are kept while your player account exists. Gameplay events are kept by Unity Analytics for a limited time and then deleted under Unity's data retention rules.
Deleting your data
In the game, go to Settings > Delete my data. This deletes your online save, your player account and its links to Google and Google Play Games, asks Unity Analytics to delete your gameplay events, and clears your progress on this phone. It can't be undone. You need to be online for this.
You can also email support@musidevgames.com and we will delete your data for you within 30 days. Details: https://musidevgames.com/OurProject/CozyRoom/DeleteData/
Uninstalling the game or clearing its storage deletes what is on your phone, but not your online save.
Purchases
Cozy Room offers optional in-app purchases. Payments are handled entirely by Google Play under Google's privacy policy. We never see your payment details. The game uses Unity's in-app purchasing library to talk to Google Play on your device, receives a confirmation of what was bought, and keeps it on your device.
Updates
The game asks Google Play whether a newer version is available, so it can show Google Play's update screen. This check is handled by Google Play.
Children
Cozy Room is meant for players aged 13 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has used the game, email us and we will delete their data.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date at the top.
